I love how many small businesses and nonprofits operate in Lents, my neighborhood of Portland, Oregon.  But looking online, I’d never know they existed!  I mean, searching online for restaurants, stores, and places to visit in the hip parts of town is no problem.  So why’s it so hard out here in Lents?

And if today’s customers are increasingly using the web to find what they need, what does this mean to the web-absent businesses next door?  How will they keep up?

So, I decided that somebody’s got to start coding for the good of the forgotten neighborhoods, for Lents and Brentwood-Darlington and all the other neighborhoods that just don’t show up to today’s consumer.  And whoever does this should do it for cheap.  We can’t all afford to drop $5,000 on a website.  And we shouldn’t have to.

That’s what Code for Good is here for.  I’d love to help your business or nonprofit get into the phonebook of the 21st century.  Interested?  Let’s talk.
